Food 4 Kids

Food 4 Kids Started in 2003 feeding about 50 children in 3 schools. We now are in 14 schools and we feed over 900 children weekly, 3 meals on Saturday and Sunday. Food is packed in a back pack and sent home on Friday full of food. The child returns the back pack on Monday and the process starts again. We have reached many children through this program, and we will continue to touch these lives through this outstanding program.

Eyeglasses

We currently have Two eye glass programs: 1)A client needing glasses must have an employment letter from employer stating the need to have glasses to peform the job. Or, 2) For children in Marion County, when children need glasses for school, must have a letter from their school of attendance stating the need as well as a parent letter along with ID, and social security cards for both parent and child. Reading Glasses given away at the office, we have a small reading chart to determine the strength needed for each client.

Our Recovery Houses
The Ocala location is also home to male only residents who live in our two recovery houses behind the main complex. These houses are often a main component for recovery to the residents as they work to improve their lives and begin to get "back on track".

 The Learning Center

The Learning Center provides training in areas such as Parenting Skills, Anger Management, as well as Tutoring for school, computers, and the GED degree. Bible Study classes are provided each weekday morning for volunteers, residents, and staff, as well as for those who wish to participate.

Our Thrift Store:

The Ocala Thrift Store is located in Ocala: 718 N. Pine Ave. At this location, we have a large inventory of items to sell at affordable prices. Whether it be a new found treasure or the daily specials, this store is worth a look. Profits from this store are used to help fund the Prescription Program.
